Hi, my name is Abby and I’m a senior at Lane Tech. I joined the Voices Alumni Board because I wanted to get more involved in my Jewish community. I am passionate about support for Israel, gun violence prevention, and combating antisemitism. I’m excited to see the impact our board will make this year!

Hi, my name is Alexa and I’m a senior at The Latin School of Chicago. After two positive experiences with both the voices 101 and Alumni board, I decided to join to continue to grow the skills we have developed over the years and interact with a new group of Jewish teens in the hopes of serving our purpose and making an impact within our community.

Hi, my name is Ben, and I’m a senior at Evanston Township High School. I really enjoyed being a member of the 101 Board last year, and I can’t wait to continue making a positive impact on the world. I am passionate about economic equity and financial literacy. I can’t wait for another great year!

Bess Auerbach

Hi, my name is Bess Auerbach, and I’m a senior at Francis W Parker High School. This will be my third year with Voices and my second year on the Voices Alumni Board. I joined the Voices Alumni Board because I wanted to make a meaningful impact on our community while also learning the fundamental skills that Voices teaches. I am passionate about women’s rights and ensuring everyone has access to healthcare. I’m eager to see how the Voices Alumni Board makes an impact on our community.

Hi, my name is Cate and I’m a senior at Highland Park High School. I joined the Voices Alumni Board because wanted to continue making a meaningful impact in my community while learning more about how philanthropy can create lasting change. I’m especially passionate about combating antisemitism, supporting Israel, and advocating for women’s rights. I’m excited to work alongside other students who care deeply about important issues and help turn our shared values into meaningful action this year.

Ethan Horwich

Hi, my name is Ethan and I’m a senior at Highland Park High School. I joined the Voices Alumni board because I saw the impact Voices makes and I want to continue their mission. This is my 4th year of Voices and I am passionate about mental healthcare and civic engagement.

Evan Klein

Hi, my name is Evan and I’m a senior at Lane Tech. I joined the Voices Alumni Board because I wanted to put my energy toward issues that don’t always get enough attention, even when they’re right in front of us. I’m passionate about combating antisemitism — through education, advocacy, and standing with people who’ve been targeted by it — and about tackling homelessness, from expanding access to temporary housing to making sure people can actually reach the public services meant to help them. I also care deeply about Israel: supporting the country, its people, and the humanitarian and social service organizations doing hard work on the ground.

Henna Chamlin

Hi, I am Henna Chamlin and I am a sophomore at The Latin school of Chicago. I joined the Voices Alumni Board because last year I had a great experience with the 101 board and would love to continue to make a difference and impact on the community. I can’t wait to see what our board can accomplish this year!

Jack Perlberg

Hi, my name is Jack and I’m a student at New Trier High School. As a second-year alumni member of the Voices Board, I’m excited to continue advocating for issues that matter deeply to me, with a focus this year on economic justice, disability, and gun violence prevention. Over the past year, I’ve grown more committed to using my voice to create meaningful change and to helping build communities where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity, safety, and support. As a football player at New Trier, I’ve learned the value of teamwork, resilience, and standing up for others, qualities I’m proud to bring to my work on the Board.

Hi, my name is Kate and I am a junior at the Latin School of Chicago. I joined the Voices Alumni Board because I wanted to make an impact on my community through advocating for what I am passionate about, specifically homelessness, healthcare and supporting Israel. I can’t wait to do another year at Voices, and build a long lasting community.

I am passionate about advocating for Jewish life and combating antisemitism, and joined the board to make an impact in the Chicago community.

Hello! My name is Nathan and I am a senior and Francis Parker. This is my 3rd year doing Voices. I keep coming back to do Voices every year because of the lasting impact it has made on different communities around the world. It is a great way for young people to come together and discuss issues areas they care about. I can’t wait to be back!

I joined Voices Alumni Board because it is an amazing opportunity to advocate for and to help alleviate current pressing issues. I am passionate about gender equality, combating antisemitism, and especially worldwide education on climate change.

I am passionate about supporting Israel, combating hunger, and helping provide resources to those experiencing economic hardships. My name is Sadie and I am a senior at The Latin School of Chicago. After being involved in the Voices 101 board I chose to be a part of the alumni board to continue following my Jewish values and give back to the community. I care deeply about supporting people and communities affected by ongoing immigration challenges. I’m really looking forward to seeing just how much of an impact our board can have.
