Famous Christmas Songs by Jewish Composers
December 15, 2026 • Tuesday, 1:00 pm - Tuesday, 2:00 pm
Who knew Jewish composers wrote some of the best Christmas music? Our highly popular event returns! Local musician, Kurt Loeffler, will look at famous Jewish American composers including Irving Berlin, Mel Torme, and many others who were the first-generation children of Jewish immigrants. We’ll discuss many of the popular holiday Christmas songs like “White Christmas” and “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” which have become classics for largely Christian audiences. Save room for sufganiyot!
