Celebrate Yom HaAtzmaut with a joyful Family Shabbat at Bernard Weinger JCC! Enjoy dinner together, learn fun Israeli dances with Sarah Rodin, and get hands-on at our planting station as kids decorate planters and plant seeds to take home. The evening will also include additional creative activities for kids to explore and enjoy. Come welcome Shabbat with music, movement, and meaningful family time in the spirit of Israel.

Backpack and lunchbox donation drive

Sunrise Day Camp–Chicago is a program of JCC Chicago that provides a free, medically supported summer camp and year-round programming for children with cancer and their siblings across Chicagoland. To help our campers start the summer feeling confident and prepared, we are inviting our J community to participate in a backpack and lunchbox drive. (All items must be new to protect our campers’ health.) Your generosity helps ensure every child receives a special bag and lunchbox of their own as they begin their camp experience. If you would like more information about Sunrise Day Camp–Chicago or how to get involved, please feel free to reach out to Allie Huey at [email protected] or visit us at https://www.sunrisedaycamp-chicago.org/.
