The Women's Division has several fundraising events throughout the year that contribute significant funds to JUF's Annual Campaign. These events emphasize the importance of individual giving and have varying minimum giving levels.
Women's Division Lion Luncheon (co-chaired with the Women's Board, Young Women's Board, Women's City Council and Young Women's City Council) celebrates those who give an individual women's gift of $5,000 to the JUF Annual Campaign. Past speakers Edie Lutnick, Co-Founder and President of The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, Nancy Spielberg, accomplished businesswoman, philanthropist and film producer and Linor Abargil from the documentary film Brave Miss World.
Women's Board Grand Event celebrates those who give an individual women's gift of $1,000 to the JUF Annual Campaign. Past speakers include Milana Vayntrub, comedian, director, actress and founder of Can't Do Nothing and Judy Gold, star of the one-woman show 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother.
Women's Division Spring Event (co-chaired with the Women's Board, Young Women's Board, Women's City Council and Young Women's City Council) celebrates those who give an individual women's gift of $365 to the JUF Annual Campaign. Past speakers include fashion designer, talk show host, author and judge for Project Runway: All Stars, Isaac Mizrahi, American businesswoman, writer, and former model, Ivanka Trump and classical musician, Itzhak Perlman. This year's event is taking place on Thursday, May 4th at the Hilton Chicago and is featuring Andy Cohen, bestselling author and Emmy Award-winning host and executive producer of Watch What Happens Live and his mother Evelyn.
Young Women's Board Valor celebrates those who give an individual women's gift of $750 to the JUF Annual Campaign. Past speakers include Rebecca Minkoff, industry leader in accessible luxury handbag, accessories, footwear and apparel and Jill Kargman, producer and star of Bravo's hit series Odd Mom Out.
Young Women's City Council & Women's City Council Pinnacle celebrates those who give an individual women's gift of $500 to the JUF Annual Campaign. Past speakers include Jessi Klein, Emmy and Peabody Award winning head writer and executive producer of Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer and author of The New York Times and USA Today bestselling book You'll Grow Out Of It.
Our Women's Division outreach events are designed to reach out to women throughout the Chicagoland area and educate attendees on JUF's vital efforts to help Jews and non-Jews in Chicago, Israel and around the world as well as educate them on other current topics.
Women's Board Gatherings for Outreach (GO!) is a series designed to educate women about Jewish topics, family issues and current events, while heightening our Jewish identity and enabling us to meet other women in our community. Each program is focused on a different geographical location throughout the metropolitan area of Chicago. There are multiple GO! events throughout the year.
Young Women's Board Perspectives programs are designed to introduce young women to JUF and one another, as well as to learn how they can impact our Jewish community. Past speakers include Laura Frankel, Executive Chef at Wolfgang Puck Kosher Catering at the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning & Leadership.
Young Women's Board FLEX (Future Leader's Educational eXperience) is an educational program and leadership development series that is designed for young women who have demonstrated their commitment to the Jewish community and the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago. It is a hands-on experience that works to enhance one's knowledge of the vital work that JUF provides by visiting various agencies and seeing them in action. The program educates on a variety of topics that relate to us as Jewish women.
Women's City Council Connections is geared toward women living in the city looking to learn more about JUF as well as to meet like-minded women. Past events have featured The Hungry Hound, Steve Dolinsky, and reality star and chef, Stephanie Goldfarb and Chicago restauranteurs, Mindy Segal of Hot Chocolate and Ina Pinkney of Ina's.
Young Women's City Council Outreach Events broaden our reach to newly involved young women who live in the city. Past speakers include PurposeGirl founder, positive psychology expert and Sirius XM's "Happiness Guru", Carin Rockind.
