Although Rashel’s work is often behind the scenes, her impact leaves a profound mark.

As Senior Empowerment Officer at Empowered Nonprofits, she helps mission-driven organizations grow stronger and more sustainable. Rashel’s work has supported nonprofits across a wide range of causes, from education and healthcare to social services and community support.

“She helps make important work possible, and she does it with humility, consistency, and a real sense of responsibility to her community,” shared a coworker. “She is someone people trust—not just because of her expertise, but because she genuinely cares.”

Rashel is also deeply engaged her local Jewish community. She serves on the board at her synagogue, Congregation Or Torah. Passionate about creating welcoming spaces for young families, the mother of two young daughters started her synagogue’s Tot Shabbat program and is a Founding Committee Member of 3G Chicago, a group created by grandchildren of Holocaust survivors to carry their grandparents’ stories forward.
