Alex is an Israeli-Ukrainian American who is eager to learn languages and connect communities. In addition to speaking three languages fluently and two semi-fluently, he is also proficient in the languages of kindness, acceptance, and caring.

He spent four years at the Russian-Speaking Moishe House, where he planned events designed to connect Russian-speaking Jews to each other and their Eastern European heritage. During his time there, he liaised between Moishe House and JUF's Russian-speaking Jewish Division, and also serves as a board member for JUF's Young Leadership Division.

Alex frequents events at Wicker Park Chabad and J-Life, where he enjoys networking with young Jewish professionals. Previously, he worked for years in Jewish nonprofits engaging young adults.

Alex can say "Cheers!" in ten languages-which comes in handy as he meets people from all walks of Jewish life at Shabbat dinners and other Jewish community events in Chicago.
