Yakov Danishefsky

Yakov shares his passion for Judaism, spirituality, and mental health in innovative and impactful ways throughout the Chicago community.

Both a rabbi and a licensed clinical social worker, he is a national leader in the growing movement to integrate religion and spirituality in everyday healthy living.

Pairing his rabbinical acumen and psychological training, Yakov has established himself as a popular speaker on topics related to Judaism, psychology, and philosophy.

His podcast called "The Attached Life" focuses on recentering our lives around our most important relationships. His 2023 book Attached: Connecting to Our Creator-A Jewish Psychological Approach arms readers with the tools to connect more deeply with G-d.

As founder and primary therapist for his Mind Body Therapy practice, Yakov provides private group therapy to treat trauma, sexual addictions, relationship issues, and other life adjustment challenges. He is passionate about helping people engage in their relationships in more fulfilling ways.

His work is fueled by a commitment to help and heal people.
