When Daniel isn't busy wrangling his twin toddlers, he donates his time helping Chicago's migrant community. He and his family have settled and sponsored two households, and he has navigated the asylum application process to help others navigate the complicated legal system.
Professionally, Daniel is an emerging public interest law and environmental community leader. He currently plays a key role on the litigation team at the Environmental Law & Policy Center (ELPC), the Midwest's leading environmental advocacy organization.
"His legal advocacy work focuses on issues including equitable access to renewable energy, wildlife and public land protection, and toxic pollution," said his supervisor at ELPC.
"To Daniel, his Jewishness shows up through advocating for those whose voices need uplifting-whether that's through his professional work or through spending his volunteer time assistant and supporting the migrant community."
Daniel also enjoys volunteering at the JUF Uptown Cafe and is a member of Mishkan.
