Benjamin Usha

Benjamin Usha is known for his integrity, kindness, and humility through his work as an attorney and leadership in the Jewish community.

As an Assistant Attorney for the Illinois Attorney General's Office, Usha is dedicated to advancing the public interest of Illinoisans in court to protect public safety and uphold the rule of law. Prior to his role with the state, was an Assistant Corporation Counsel at City of Chicago's Building and License Enforcement division, where he kept Chicagoans safe by enforcing municipal building codes.

Usha also serves on the boards of Rodfei Zedek Conservative Congregation and the Decalogue Society of Lawyers, Benjamin has exhibited his commitment to Jewish communities in both his local and professional communities. Fluent in Russian, he has volunteered at the Chicago Association of Veterans of WWII and delivered gifts for Russian-speaking Jewish and non-Jewish veterans in honor of Victory Day.

The Chicago native attended University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) School of Law, he served as the President of the UIC Chapter of the Decalogue Illinois Society of Lawyers.
