Kelsey exemplifies the Jewish values of compassion, hope, courage, and
tikkun olam
. She splits her time between serving as Chief Clinical Officer at Pickles Group, a nonprofit that supports children whose parents have cancer, and her private practice as a child life specialist, therapist, author, and creator.
She is also the author of
The Dot Method,
an interactive children's workbook that guides adults in helping teach kids about cancer. Kelsey is an expert contributor on CNBC online and has been interviewed by
NBC News Chicago
regarding talking to children about cancer. She has been a featured guest on podcasts including a recent episode from
Worst Club Ever(A Child Loss Podcast)
.
Kelsey is also passionate about gun control. After surviving the Highland Park Fourth of July Parade shooting in 2022 alongside her family, she began working with organizations such as Aftermath and continued work with Child Life Disaster Relief to support communities impacted by mass shootings and advocate for change.
