Association of Jewish Libraries Conference 2026: Cooler by the Lake

June 22, 2026 - June 24, 2026

The 2026 Association of Jewish Libraries Conference will be held at the Hilton Orrington/Evanston in Evanston, Illinois, June 22–24. The conference will provide a wide range of sessions for library professionals working in academic and research institutions, archives, synagogues, day schools, and Jewish community centers, as well as public libraries serving Jewish communities.
Our diverse group of more than 100 expert presenters are librarians, archivists, authors, illustrators, educators, and scholars from across the United States, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, and Spain. Topics include global Jewish libraries, archives, and collections; the Chicago Jewish experience; library grant writing; the state of Judaic librarianship today; Lithuanian libraries; Orthodox special collections in public libraries; reference and instruction; Jewish literatures in translation; and many more, including presentations about the National Library of Israel, the Library of Congress, and award-winning children’s and adult literature. For more details and to view the preliminary program, visit the conference webpage.
We warmly welcome members of the local Jewish community to attend the conference! Full and daily registration options are available on the conference webpage. Please note that the registration deadline is Sunday, June 7.
