Saving for Your Future

Employer Sponsored Pension Plan (Non-contributory)

After one year of employment you will automatically become a participant in the pension plan. No contributions on your part are permitted. The amount deposited is invested and earns interest. You become 100% vested in the plan after 5 years of employment.

Tax Deferred Annuities (Contributory)

As an employee of a not-for-profit agency, you may contribute, through payroll deductions, into a Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) account. TDAs are intended to be used as a supplement to your retirement income.

College Savings Plan (Section 529)

This plan is a qualified tuition program under Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code. Section 529 plans are college savings accounts in which individuals can make regular contributions into state sponsored plans to be used for college expenses. Earnings on withdrawals from Section 529 plans are tax free, they can be used at any accredited institution of higher learning in the U.S., as well as at many foreign institutions.
