Depending on your position, you will be eligible to participate in one of two 401(k) plans. JUF funds both plans with no contribution required on your part, and you are also eligible to contribute funds and receive an employer match. Eligibility rules and vesting schedules differ by plan.
As an employee of a not-for-profit agency, you may contribute, through payroll deductions, into a 403(b) plan, also known as a Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) or a Tax Deferred Retirement Savings Account. A 403(b) plan allows you to invest money in an annuity or mutual funds on a tax-deferred basis. These accounts are intended to be used as a supplement to your retirement income.
