Training

Retirement Plans

Employer Sponsored Pension Plan (Non-contributory)

After one year of employment, JUF will automatically contribute to either a 401(k) plan or a pension plan, depending on your position. JUF funds both plans with no contribution required on your part, and if you are enrolled in the 401(k) plan, you are also eligible to contribute extra funds with a match. You become 100% vested in either plan after 5 years of employment. 


Tax Deferred Retirement Accounts

As an employee of a not-for-profit agency, you may contribute, through payroll deductions, into a 403(b) plan, also known as a Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) or a Tax Deferred Retirement Savings Account. A 403(b) plan allows you to invest money in an annuity or mutual funds on a tax-deferred basis.  These accounts are intended to be used as a supplement to your retirement income.
