JUF's Strategic Partners in Israel
The Jewish Agency for Israel
The Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), seeks to inspire Jews throughout the world to connect with their people, heritage and homeland, and empower them to build a thriving Jewish future and a strong Israel. JAFI serves as the main link between the Jewish state and Jewish communities everywhere through Israel experience programs, Aliyah (immigration to Israel), absorption, engaging young Jews in social activism, reconnecting Jews from the Former Soviet Union, rescuing Jews in distress and responding to crises in Israel and the Jewish world. JUF is one of the main funders of core activity in Israel by the North American Federation system and proudly supports the work of JAFI.
The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee
The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) in Israel represents North America's Jewish Federations’ efforts to advance the quality of life, equal opportunities and reduction of gaps in Israeli society.
Service priorities include children and youth at risk, the elderly, vulnerable immigrant groups, poverty-to-independence, civil society and service effectiveness.
JDC Israel is the focus of the work of the World Joint organization, which operates in 70 countries to alleviate hunger and hardship, rescue Jews in danger, create lasting connections to Jewish life and provide immediate relief for victims of natural and man-made disasters.
JUF is one of the main funders of core activity in Israel by the North American Federation system and proudly supports the work of JDC Israel.
