About Us
Through JCRC, JUF strengthens Chicagoland’s Jewish community by convening Jewish organizations engaged in public affairs, fostering strategic collaboration, and building trusted relationships with civic, intergroup, and community partners. JCRC’s work focuses on three primary areas:
Advocacy and Intergroup Relations: Advance the interests of the Jewish community, including combatting antisemitism, through advocacy, coalition-building, and community relations.
Civic Engagement: Foster civic engagement and strengthen our democratic society by encouraging people to participate in public life and help maintain a society that is democratic and welcoming to different viewpoints, backgrounds, beliefs, and identities.
Israel Affairs: Advocate for a safe, secure, Jewish, and democratic State of Israel.
JCRC Member Organizations
JCRC is the umbrella body for 43 major Jewish organizations in the Chicago area.
