Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC)

Who we are

The JCRC is the umbrella body for more than 40 Jewish organizations in the Chicago area and is the community relations arm of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.

What we do

  • Educate and Mobilize
  • Forge Partnerships
  • Advocate
  • Connect U.S. and Israel Activists

Why we do it

  • The environment is an issue of global importance
  • Substantial Jewish teaching stresses the importance of caring for G-d’s creations;
  • Energy independence is crucial to national security;
  • Many of our environmental initiatives promoting energy efficiency can save individuals and institutions money.

What you can do

Having a positive impact on the environment requires individuals changing not only their own behavior, but also encouraging others to do what they can.
