Jewish Civic Leadership Program Application 2026
The Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Chicago (JUF)’s Civic Leadership Development Program is a cohort-based program designed for emerging Jewish community leaders, aiming to build essential skills and prepare participants for meaningful leadership roles in civic and nonprofit settings. Throughout the program, participants participate in a series of interactive sessions that focus on leadership, public service, coalition building, advocacy strategy, and ethical leadership.
Each session will include outside speakers and panelists who have practical, first-hand experience to share with the group. Many of these speakers are Jewish and will explain how their faith influences their work. Jewish traditions and teachings will be integrated into the curriculum.
The curriculum is designed to educate, excite, and inspire the participants. The format will include presentations, panel discussions, role-playing, and interactive group projects.
The success of the program is dependent upon the full and active participation of each participant. If selected to participate in the program you are expected to attend all sessions listed below.
