Focus Areas

This focus area aims to address the economic and legal status of Jewish women and girls locally, nationally, and internationally. The emphasis is on legal, financial, and policy reform and advocacy. Topics include economic empowerment; financial literacy; agunah rights; sex trafficking and domestic violence; community awareness-raising initiatives; prevention education; reproductive justice; legal counseling for at-risk populations; micro-enterprise, etc.

This focus area intends to secure educational and leadership opportunities for Jewish women and girls locally, nationally, and internationally. The emphasis is on developing skills and peer groups that facilitate women and girls' leadership. Topics include mentoring; community empowerment and organizing; service-learning; professional development; halachic education; teen empowerment; gender norm intervention; leadership curriculums; advocacy training, etc.

This focus area works to address the overall physical and mental health and well-being of Jewish women and girls locally, nationally, and internationally. The emphasis is on protecting, promoting, and educating individuals and communities about issues related to women's health. Topics include violence against women; sex trafficking; community health education; screening and prevention; sexual health; intervention training for mikvah attendants; breast health; eating disorders; genetics; women with disabilities; healthy relationships for teens, etc.

This focus area supports start-up organizations within three years of operation as well as pilot projects focused on innovative initiatives to improve the lives of Jewish women and girls. The emphasis of these projects is using creative problem solving and new approaches to drive social change within communities.
