LSIP Application Process

The Application for the 2026 Lewis Summer Intern Program is now closed. Please check back in Fall 2026 for details about the Summer 2027 program.

How to Apply

  1. Students apply to the Lewis Summer Intern Program (LSIP) online. Applications are not complete until resume and two writing samples are turned in.
  2. LSIP Program Manager screens applications and conducts first-round interview on a rolling basis.
  3. LSIP forwards top applicants to a second interview with internship placements and builds a waitlist. Matches are based on the candidate’s interests and needs of the organization.
  4. Placement supervisor and proposed candidate meet and mutually confirm match.
  5. Interns must submit background check and application to JUF to confirm placement in the cohort if offered a position.
