1. People-to-People
Designed to help connect people from the Chicago Jewish community with people living in the Kiryat-Gat, Lachish and Shafir region through school exchange programs, summer camps, leadership programs, kindergarten programs, connections between people with disabilities and their families and organizational connections.
Diller Teen Fellows
Diller is a prestigious year-long fellowship for high school students interested in exploring topics in leadership, Jewish identity, social justice and Israel. Diller teens from the Partnership region visit Chicago for a peer exchange and Diller teens from Chicago travel to Israel for a summer seminar that includes touring and exploring Israel and spending time with their Israeli peers.
Kefiada
Kefiada is an English-speaking summer camp that takes place during the month of July in Kiryat Gat. Theme days, color wars and sports are all a part of this American-style day camp.
College students from Chicago, or who go to school in Illinois, can be Kefiada counselors.
Next summer’s Kefiada dates are June 22–July 22, 2026.
Free program. No Hebrew necessary. $1,200 flight stipends for all counselors. Free room and board. $300 spending money.

2. Community Building
The Partnership supports organizations that make a change in the day-to-day life of the population in the area and create a better civic society in the region. The partnership supports 40 projects yearly in various fields such as: early childhood, elderly, welfare, employment, entrepreneurship, formal and informal education, people with disabilities and more.
