In accordance with tikkun olam, the Jewish concept of repairing the world, TOV connects community members with volunteer opportunities that best meet their interests and needs.

Good Deeds Day
Join TOV as we celebrate our 10th anniversary of Good Deeds Day! Good Deeds Day began in Israel and now unites millions of volunteers around the globe who are dedicated to bettering the world, one community at a time.
Good Deeds Day is on Sunday, April 12, 2026!
TOV Tutoring
A partnership with Tutoring Chicago! Volunteers will work one-on-one with the same student for the entire school year virtually or in person at city locations in the evenings. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old—no experience required!

JUF Uptown Cafe
The JUF Uptown Cafe, one of Chicago’s pioneering kosher anti-hunger programs, serves hot meals in a restaurant-style setting, offering dignity and hope to those in need. Open three days a week for dinner and on Sundays for brunch, the Cafe welcomes both Jews and non-Jews alike.

In partnership with the JUF Professionals Network, we are recruiting attorneys of all practice areas to volunteer for the JUF Evelyn R. Greene Legal Services program.

Kefiada
Kefiada is an English-language summer camp held in Kiryat Gat every July. This American-style day camp features theme days, color wars, and various sports activities. College students from Chicago or those attending school in Illinois have the opportunity to serve as Kefiada counselors. This summer’s Kefiada dates are June 22 – July 22, 2026.

Nourish our Neighborhoods
Nourish Our Neighborhoods is a community-wide collection drive benefiting local organizations across Chicagoland. Community members sign up to donate new items for a kit to support someone in need. Kits vary based on organizational requests. Since May 2020, over 11,000 kits of essential items have been donated to 58 different organizations across Chicagoland.
Our next collection date is Sunday, May 3, 2026. Check back soon to register.
