Mental Health
Young adults in our community are struggling, and we need to better prepare them to cope with the toxic environments they may encounter—or are already encountering.
The same generation that lost a chunk of their lives to the pandemic now faces antisemitism at social gatherings and on social media, in professional settings or on their children’s playgrounds.
These young people in our community were in the midst of a mental health crisis before Oct. 7, suffering from anxiety and depression in record numbers.
Young Jews desperately need more places and spaces where they don’t feel outnumbered and outshouted—and where they do feel understood and supported.
JUF is perfectly and uniquely situated to make that space happen—to seamlessly weave the supports young adults need—into existing programs and places. And we are providing that kind of support to several thousand young people in our community.
