JRC’s Family PurimFest With In-House Klezmer Band, Heavy Shtetl

Celebrate Purim with PurimFest at JRC! Our celebration will include a costume parade, music, and family Megillah reading at 10 am. We’ll then have family-oriented activities and games in JRC’s style—laid back, warm, cheerful, and participatory! Always popular are our hamentaschen baking and eating and cake bingo. An adult blood drive will take place at JRC as well. Family activities will be most enjoyed by children 2-12. You’ll have more fun in a costume!

10:00-10:45 — Family Megillah reading, costume parade, and music by Heavy Shtetl
10:45-11:40 — Games and activities on the 2nd floor

Join us to become a food explorer! This class will provide your child regular exposure to a variety of foods. We’ll be prepping, cooking, creating art or science, and finding joy while exploring foods. All while having fun socializing with others.
This program is designed and run with input from speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist and psychologists but is not intended to replace therapeutic interventions. Referrals will be made as needed.

Expectant parents at similar stages of life will gather to socialize, share resources and discuss issues pertaining to being pregnant and preparing for parenthood. This group is open to expectant single moms and couples (LGBTQ couples welcome) who are expecting the birth or adoption of their first baby, in which at least one member of the couple is Jewish.
Each session will include a guest speaker and topics will include newborn basics, adjusting to new roles as parents, Jewish baby rituals and creating a Jewish home.
Cohort 43, for those expecting July-September. Dates for this session is: June 10, 17, 24, July 1, Shabbat dinner June 13 2025.
