JCRC official meets with Moroccan ambassador to U.S.

Steven Dishler, director of International Affairs for the Jewish Community Relations Council of JUF, met recently with Rachad Bouhlal, Morocco's ambassador to the United States, at the embassy in Washington, D.C.

During their two hour meeting, the two discussed efforts by King Muhammad VI to institute reforms in the country, the uprisings that are transforming the Arab world, Iran's nuclear program and source of instability in the region, Morocco's Jewish community, and relations with Israel.

The meeting was facilitated by Marilyn Diamond, Morocco's Honorary Consul General in Chicago.

Dishler also has just penned an article reflecting on the so-called "Arab Spring.
