Hi, my name is Daphna and I’m a high school junior at Whitney Young. I joined the Voices 101 board because I wanted to see how grant funding works, and have an impact on the Jewish Chicago community. I am passionate about educational equity, healthcare, specifically insurance reform, and women’s rights.

Hi, my name is Evan, and I am Junior at Lane Tech College Prep. I joined the Voices 101 board because I wanted to gain a closer connection to the Jewish community and help combat antisemitism. I am passionate about support for Israel, combating antisemitism, and supplying food to people who need it.

Henna Chamlin

Hi, my name is Henna Chamlin. I am a freshman at Latin School of Chicago. I was interested in joining the Voices 101 Board because I wanted to make a meaningful and enduring contribution to the community. Some issues I care about are Vocational Training, Children’s Services and Combating Antisemitism. I look forward to the positive changes our board will bring this year.

Hi, my name is Hillel and I am a junior at Ida Crown Jewish Academy. I decided to join the Voices 101 board because I wanted to help others and be able to provide for people in need. I am passionate about Israel, Poverty and World Hunger. I’m excited to make an impact this year.

Hi, my name is Izabel and I’m a freshman at Deerfield High School. I joined Voices 101 Board because I am following in my brother’s footsteps and I want to make a positive contribution to our community. I am passionate about combatting Antisemitism, education, and Israel. I look forward to learning more about the Jewish Federation and grant making.

Hi, my name is Jack and I’m a student at New Trier High School. I joined the Voices Board because I want to take action on issues that matter deeply to me, including combating antisemitism, supporting people facing financial hardship, and preventing violence in our communities. The recent rise in antisemitism is frightening, and I have witnessed it firsthand. I feel a responsibility to speak out and work toward change. I believe everyone deserves to live with dignity, safety, and opportunity, and I’m committed to helping create that change. As a football player at New Trier, I’ve learned the value of teamwork, resilience, and standing up for others, which qualities I hope to bring to my work on the Board this year.

I am passionate about environmental sustainability issues along with equity and disability issues. I look forward to contributing to and learning from the JUF community.

Hi, my name is Josh from Deerfield and am excited to be a part of the Voices 101 Board! I joined the board to have an outlet to practice philanthropy in a way that would make a meaningful impact and support the causes that are of value to me. With my love for law and government, I seek to focus on the issue of civic engagement and creating opportunities for everyone to make their voice heard to the government. Additionally, I care about combating antisemitism, especially on college campuses where I will be in a year.

I joined voices 101 board because I am passionate about combating antisemitism especially in learning environments like high school or college campuses. I am very passionate about both financial literacy and containing climate change.
