ReelAbilities Film Festival: Don’t Look Away

June 26, 2026Friday, 7:00 pm - Friday, 9:00 pm

Don’t Look Away features Corey, who was born with a rare condition requiring over 50 cranial reconstructive surgeries, searching for normalcy, love, and acceptance in a swipe-left, swipe-right world. The film explores how his look affects his ability to live a “normal life” and challenges viewers to question who misses out when we reject those who look different. A 45-minute workshop follows the film. Presented in partnership with MyFace, supporting individuals with facial differences and their families.

This film is one of four featured in the ReelAbilities Film Festival, spotlighting disabled and neurodivergent individuals as protagonists, role models, artists, and producers. Presented by Hecktman Family JCCs of Chicago, June 25-28.
