Sunday School Try-a-Class

Looking for a way for your child to connect with Jewish culture, holidays, history, values, community, and identity — but not sure a traditional synagogue or Sunday School feels right for your family?

At Kol Hadash, children build Jewish identity through stories, traditions, questions, and hands-on learning — in a warm, welcoming, inclusive place where they can feel Jewish in a way that fits your family.

Your child is welcome to try our Secular Jewish Sunday School on any school day. During Try-a-Class, they’ll join their grade’s class, participate alongside other students, and experience a regular Sunday School morning at Kol Hadash.

Our Sunday School offers a cultural, humanistic, non-theistic Jewish education where children are encouraged to ask questions, think for themselves, value their Jewish identity, and connect with Jewish life in a meaningful way.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to ask questions, learn more about our youth education program, and get a feel for our community.

Kol Hadash welcomes many kinds of Jewish and Jewish-adjacent families, including those who identify as Culturally Jewish, Just Jewish, Jew-ish, Jewish and . . . , Half-Jewish, Interfaith, Jews by Choice, Multicultural, Not Religious, Secular, Humanistic, Atheist, Agnostic, and/or still figuring it out.
