With the goal of reducing feelings of isolation and addressing the needs of Chicago’s
Russian-speaking community, the Center for Russian Speakers (CRS) at EZRA provides
educational, cultural, and social opportunities for people whose primary language is
Russian. CRS offers lectures, holiday events, and Jewish programs. Educational programs
include English as a Second Language (ESL), computer literacy courses, smartphone use
workshops, and more. In addition, center staff assist with applying for and maintaining
public benefits, advocating for client needs, and providing information about partner
organizations in cases of crisis.
