JUF is pleased to announce that thanks to three generous gifts from the Shure Charitable Trust, a JUF Support Foundation, Jewish overnight camp will be more affordable for more families.
The first gift will increase One Happy Camper incentive grants to eligible first-time campers for summer 2026. Eligible campers must attend at least 12 days at a Jewish overnight camp in North America.
As camp costs increase at least 8% annually, the second Shure Charitable Trust gift will also significantly increase the number of eligible families for JUF’s financial need scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to campers attending JUF’s 12 partner camps.
The third Shure Charitable Trust gift was granted to OSRUI. The camp will run a pilot program aimed at increasing camper enrollment and retention by providing financial assistance to middle-income families. Campers attending short-term sessions will be incentivized to attend longer-term sessions. In addition, children attending URJ-affiliated religious schools will be provided with a grant.
