What's New in the Guide

UpStart

UpStart exists to redesign the way Jewish life gets experienced. UpStart Lab: Chicago provides education and training to a highly select group of Jewish social entrepreneurs who are bringing new methodologies and a fresh approach to how to “do Jewish”. Selected UpStarters participate in a non-profit version of the high-tech accelerator designed to give Jewish ventures the “know how” to move from proof-of-concept to sustainable organizations. UpStart also runs a Community of Practice for lay/professional Jewish leaders, and provides innovation support for Chicago's mature Jewish organizations. UpStart Lab: Chicago is a program of UpStart, a national organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Full-time care available between 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday thru Friday.

Bayit Afterschool

Founded in Fall 2013, Evanston's Bayit brings together a diverse community of Jewish kids and families through a welcoming, convenient, fun and camp-like afterschool "home." Bayit immerses children ages 4-10 in exploration of Jewish identity while simultaneously offering needed, high-quality afterschool childcare for busy families. Children bond through play while exploring the arts, spirituality and Hebrew.
