What's New in the Guide

Jewish Enrichment Center

The Jewish Enrichment Center is a laboratory school that raises a child's voice in Jewish learning. Since 2011, we've run an independent Sunday and afterschool in Hyde Park, Chicago, where children are co-creators of Judaism. The Jewish Enrichment Center is recognized nationally as an exceptional model of deep, personalized Jewish children's learning. At the Jewish Enrichment Center, children ask questions, generate ideas, and bring Jewish texts to life for themselves. Using art and drama and clay, children dialogue with peers and with our ancient tradition, simultaneously growing their Jewish literacy as well as skills for critical and creative thinking and compassionate listening. Our environment teaches children to pursue dignity for all humanity. Now open for infant/toddlers through middle school.

Sharsheret is a national not-for-profit organization supporting Jewish women and their families facing breast and ovarian cancer. Our mission is to offer a community of support to women, of all Jewish backgrounds, diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer or at increased genetic risk, by fostering culturally-relevant individualized connections with networks of peers, health professionals, and related resources.
