The Government Affairs Department builds relationships at the city, county, state, and federal levels of government in order to promote the public policy agenda of Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and its network of affiliates. Through coalition-building with other health and human service organizations, and with the involvement of Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago volunteers, our professionals monitor and lobby on behalf of issues involving healthcare and human service programs, anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, Israel, and other issues important to the Jewish community. Our offices in Chicago, Springfield, and Washington, D.C. actively ensure that the Jewish community is part of the policy-making process with our national, state and local governments.
