    Since 1994, musicians and singers of the Junior Klezmer Orchestra have studied the art of Klezmer-traditional Eastern European Jewish music and Yiddish song-with members of the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band. Many have gone on to professional musical careers. We rehearse twice a month on Sundays from 2:30-4:00 pm (including snack) at Beth Hillel Bnai Emunah, just off the Edens Expressway in Wilmette. Our students range from fifth grade to senior year high school. We perform at the Greater Chicago Jewish Festival, the Skokie Festival of Cultures, and other venues.

    As part of the JCFS family of services, the Therapeutic Day School (TDS) uses a strengths-based approach to the education of K-12+ students with diverse academic, social and emotional needs.     Tikvah is a division of Camp Ramah in Wisconsin developed in 1973 to provide inclusion opportunities for children with learning, social and communication difficulties, including those who are higher functioning on the Autistic Spectrum. Tikvah provides all the opportunities of the Ramah experience with additional staffing and support. Through individualized programming, supported by highly-skilled staff, teens in the Tikvah program develop friendships, have fun and learn in formal and informal Jewish settings. Tikvah offers a full 8-week session for teenage campers, a 4-week "Taste of Tikvah" option for first-time younger campers, as well as the Tikvah Vocational Program for qualified high school graduates.
