Engagements
Yoni

Howard and Maia Labow of Highland Park, announce the engagement of their son, Yoni, to Danielle Frydman of Highland Park, daughter of Dr. Joseph and Marie Frydman. Yoni is the grandson of Jackie Labow of Lincolnwood. Danielle is the granddaughter of Efroim Frydman, of Chicago, and Kathryn Testa, of Chicago.

Yoni is a graduate of Ida Crown Jewish Academy and received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Michigan in History and Jewish Studies. Currently, he is the Marketing Director for National Enrollment Services.

 Danielle is a graduate from Highland Park High School and received a Bachelor of Science from University of Wisconsin and is currently finishing her Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work.

Both Yoni and Danielle are graduates from Solomon Schechter Day School in Northbrook.

Shalom

Michele and Leo Bromberg, of Skokie, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elisheva, to Shalom Klein, son of Leah and Moshe Klein, of Skokie.

Shalom is the chairman of Jewish B2B Networking, publisher of Jewish Business News and vice president of MK&A, Ltd. Elisheva currently teaches at New York Preschool of the Arts in Manhattan.
An August wedding in Skokie is planned and will be officiated by Rabbi Zvi Engel of Congregation Or Torah.

Kevin and Stacey

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Friduss, of Highland Park, joyfully announce the engagement of their son, Kevin Arthur Friduss, to Stacy Aleeza Heller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Heller of Boca Raton, Fla.

Kevin, a 2001 graduate of Highland Park High School, received a Bachelor of Communications degree from the University of Denver in 2005. He is currently employed as a Real Estate Consultant in Chicago.

Stacy, a graduate of Olympic Heights High School in 2000, received a Bachelor of Communications from the University of Central Florida in 2005. She went on to receive a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University in 2011. She is employed as the Senior Program Director and International Coordinator for Advisor Leadership at BBYO, Inc.

An August wedding is planned and will be officiated by Rabbi Michael Gottesman, of Skokie Central Traditional Congregation.

 

Rudolph 2Miriam and Mike Rudolph, of Deerfield, announce the engagement of their daughter Aliza Rudolph to Ben Scheier, of Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Ettie and Mike Scheier.  Aliza is the grandaughter of Leah and Saul Silverstein, of Highland Park, and Nonnie Rudolph, of Chicago. Ben is the grandson of Meier Elkayam, of Beersheva, Israel, and Ellen Scheier, of New York.  Aliza and Ben met at The Ohio State University where they both graduated.  Aliza is a Certified Child Life Specialist working in a hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Ben is in his second year of residency as a doctor in Denver.  The wedding will be co-officiated by Rabbi Sam Fraint, of Moriah Congregation in Deerfield, and Aliza's couisin, Rabbi David Russo, of Anshe Emet in Chicago.  They are planning to be married Dec. 8, 2012.
Brickman

Judy and Jeff Brickman of Deerfield announce the engagement of their daughter Taryn Brickman, 25, to Michael Gluskin, 26, son of Ellen and Jeff Gluskin of Buffalo Grove.

Michael graduated from the University of Maryland in 2007 and is an English teacher at Libertyville High School. Taryn graduated from Indiana University in 2008 and is the Senior Community Outreach Coordinator for the Chicago Center for Jewish Genetic Disorders.

They are planning for a fall wedding in 2012.

Temkin

Mira and Darryl Temkin of Highland Park announce the engagement of their daughter, Alison Jamie to Keith Louis Weinberg, son of Debra and Mark Weinberg of Lafayette Hill, Pa. Alison is the granddaughter of Harold and Doris Hymen of Sarasota, Florida and the late Rena and Al Temkin of Chicago. Keith is the grandson of Gerrie Weiswasser and the late Fred Weiswasser and the late Ida and Fred Weinberg of Philadelphia, Pa.

Alison is a 1997 graduate of Highland Park High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in human development and family studies from Indiana University and holds a Master's degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. She spent seven years as a teacher at the Elaine Kersten Center for Children with Autism in Northbrook, and is currently teaching kindergarten at the Highland Park Community Nursery School.

Keith is a graduate of West Virginia University with a B.A. in English and studied cinematography and screenwriting at the New York Film Academy in New York City.  Currently, he freelances as a media producer and works as a bartender.

Alison and Keith met at a wedding in St. Louis and plan to get married in the fall of 2012.

Sophia

Judd and Karen Aronowitz, of Miami, Florida, announce the engagement of their daughter Sophia Aronowitz, 27, to Ben Baumgold, 26, son of Jesse Baumgold and Linda Golden of Bethesda, Maryland. Proud grandparents are Pearl Fernandez (Sam Aronowitz- deceased) and Carol Mallah (Joe Mallah- deceased) and Henry and Lucille Golden Tamar Baumgold (Theodore Baumgold- deceased)

Ben graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008 and currently works as an Options Trader at IMC Financial Markets in Chicago.  Sophia graduated from Florida State University in 2007 and currently works as a Teen Volunteering and Planning Associate at the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Chicago.

A March wedding in Miami is planned and will be officiated by Rabbi David Schonblum of Bet Breira Samuel Or Olom.

Braiman

Jeff and Sue Braiman of Buffalo Grove, IL announce the engagement of their daughter Nina, 28 to Alon, 34 son of Mayer and Mina Stein of Skokie, IL.

Alon graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago before receiving his law degree in 2002 from University of Wisconsin Law School.  He now practices at Kamensky Rubinstein Hochman and Delott in Lincolnwood, IL.  Nina graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before receiving her Master's of Health Administration degree in 2007 from University of Iowa.  She now works as a health care consultant at Thomson Reuters.

An August 2012 wedding in Chicago is planned and will be officiated by Cantor Arnie Shultz

Weintraub

Sharon and Harvey Weintraub of Lincolnwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Eva Weintraub to Josh Gavant, son of Ann Ellen and Morris Gavant of Baltimore, Md. and grandson of Joyce Blockman of Baltimore, Md. and Janis Gavant of Atlanta, Ga.

Josh is a systems engineer with Microsoft, Inc. and moved to Chicago in 2009. Eva is a Human Resources Generalist at JUF and a graduate of Rutgers University.

The happy couple will be married in Sept. 2011 in Chicago by Rabbi Asher Lopatin of Anshe Sholom Bnai Israel.

Goodman2

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Goodman of Hoffman Estates joyfully announce the engagement of their daughter, Robyn Sue Goodman, to Kevin Mark Aronin, son of Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Aronin of Wheeling.

Robyn, a graduate of Conant High School, received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Indiana University and a Master of Social Work degree with a specialty in school social work from Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago.  She is employed as a high school social worker in Waukegan.

Kevin, a graduate of Palatine High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education from Northeastern University.  He is employed as a high school special education teacher and football coach in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

A June wedding is planned and will be officiated by Rabbi Dr. Yaacov Dvorin and Rabbi Tsali Wilschanski.
