Got a Simcha Announcement?

Send your simcha and photo to simchas@juf.org to be potentially featured in an upcoming issue of JUF News.

Listing Guidelines

As the publication of record for the Chicago area’s Jewish community, JUF News is pleased to publish announcements of Jewish births; bar/bat mitzvahs; and engagements, weddings (following the ceremony), and anniversaries of Jewish couples.

Because our purpose is to list Jewish simchas, we publish listings of simchas officiated by members of the Chicago Board of Rabbis, the Chicago Rabbinical Council, Agudat Yisrael, American Conference of Cantors, Cantors Assembly and equivalent organizations.

Listings are free!

We encourage those submitting listings to make a charitable contribution to the Jewish United Fund. Contributions help care for Jews in need in Chicago, in Israel, and around the world. Listings in the section are free, and photos will be published on a space-available basis and at the discretion of the editors.

JUF News can consider for publication only those listings submitted through email. Submissions are edited and may be rewritten for style and content. Space is limited, and listings are published on a “first come, first served” basis. We cannot guarantee publication of any particular listing.

One photo may be submitted per listing in digital format and will be published on a space-available basis and at the discretion of the editors. JUF News may crop or otherwise adjust the photo to meet publication needs and standards. Images must be in the JPEG file format. Images that are smaller than 100kb should not be submitted.
